Bathroom Sink & Counter COMPLETE!

So here I am cleaning my bathroom. As you know Diane from

http://wheredoigetstarted.blogspot.com/
& I are doing a cleaning challenge on

http://those2girls.blogspot.com/
& we want you to join in. (you can clik the link or title of this blogpost to join in).

Her challenge today was to clear the sink area. Most people would just go & do it, but I on the other hand need some motivation.
How do I get home from working all day then go & clean so more?
Well I stay in work mode.... which actually means staying in my work clothes. You see I won't sit on any of the furniture in my house (other than my computer chair) with my work clothes on. So I kept them on & off I went to do my bathroom.

I am waiting on my Norwex cloth (mentioned in Diane's post), so for now I'm using my PC GREEN SCRUB PASTE. It comes with it's own sponge on the top. I think it cost about $6.99 at Zehrs/Superstore.
It works really well on the big areas (counters, sink, tap) & gets it very shiny. In the tight areas where the tap connects to the sink I get some hardwater stains, so I have a fix for that too. I take a Q-Tip, moisten it & dip in it the cleaning paste & rub that around the outside of the tap & any other grooves or crevices that the sponge misses.

Feel free to post comments here, as well as on the challenge page. We want to know how you're doing too!

Hi Bloggy Buddies!

Last week on Works For Me Wed. I gave a link about "MOMMY BLOGGING" from @YummyMummyClub (her twitter link)

Most of us Canadian gals remember watching Erica Ehm on MuchMusic. Well now you can read about her adventures in MOMMYHOOD via her website

I have been a member on the website for a few years now. Monthly newsletter, contests, advice, freebies & fun! That's what the YummyMummyClub is all about!
If you click the above link on the front page you will see a montage of "MOMS" doing their thing. It was so popular that their was a suggestion of pics from REAL Moms in their most candid &/or MOM moments.
I've always told my pals that YES I am a Yummy Mummy! & NOW I CAN PROVE IT!

Can you see me?
Do you want to be part of the montage?

WFMW how to explain Mommy Blogging to those whe don't get it

I know a lot of you are very experienced in the blogging world.

This is just something I took on this year.

At this point it's for fun, but it would be great for it to be profittable as well. Being Canadian, I'm not sure that companies have the same willinginess to ship their products cross boarder, but I'm sure someday someone will stumble upon my SUNNY blog!

I try to learn about & ask others I know about it, but most don't understand when I say I LOVE MOMMY BLOGGING! They think I just post pics of my son & use it as site for other family members to connect.
I found this via Twitter @YummyMummyClub
It gives a great overview of the new culture of online Moms!

(it took about 3 mins to load up)

I'm not sure if other Bloggers are willing to share their tips on blogging, but if so I'd love your comments & suggestions on mine

For more great advice visit the links at

Keep Smiling!

(What is SYS &) What Does it Mean To Me?

Hey Blog-A-Longs

I need to get back to my blogging. I'm all over TWITTER, FACEBOOK, & my blogs for MeFest, Those2Girls & Stuff To Do..... (all listed on the left side of this page), but haven't done much on personal one lately.

Today is the day!

I decided I needed to express what SYS means to me. If you're a follower of this blog you have heard me mention my SYS pals before. If you're new to following here's the low down.

SYS stands for See You Sunday (pronounced sis)
It's a women's friendship group. We get together every Sunday afternoon for friendship & fun. NO this is NOT a religious group. Everyone assumes since it's on Sunday it has something to do with a church league.
You see most women have a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. We meet at 12:45pm & are usually done by 3:00pm. A couple of hours to hang with some gal pals & have fun.

We try to do something different every week. Everything we do is very low cost & the majority of events are FREEEEEEEE (you know I love that word).
Here's a list off the top of my head of things we've done over the past 3 years
  • learned to make Gelata
  • financial planning
  • tour of the Centre in the Square
  • Spa Day
  • Pot luck
  • Autism speaker
  • Pottery Painting
  • women's health
  • jewellery making
  • Disctinctly Tea
  • Running Room
  • Silver Spoons Chocolates
  • Dutch Mill Flower Shop
  • Sugar Beads
  • Movie
  • Waterloo Theatre production & tour
  • Clay & Glass gallery tour
  • Barbershop singers
  • Volunteer at the Record shows
  • Fitness 360
  • tour of the Healthy Haven
  • Portrait artist
  • Games day
  • Outdoor festivals
  • home decor

& of course tons of other things I can't think of right now

But the name of this post is WHAT DOES SYS MEAN TO ME?

It gives me something to look forward to every week. I know I'll have fun seeing my SYS pals & learning lots of things. It's great to be a backyard tourist & not have to head to Toronto just to find something to do. Everyone's age is different so there's such a mix of ideas. I'm there for the friendship & fun (I may have already mentioned that) & I always come away feeling SMARTER!

All of this came out of me putting off laundry!

Are you in the KW area & wish to join SYS? or perhaps you'd like to start a SYS group in your town?

Send me an email at fostermcdonald@rogers.com
