Hello BlogLand!
While out shovelling snow on this cold but sunny day I found myself humming Let The Sunshine In from the Flintstones. This gave me the title of my own personal blog. When I started this blog my descriptios was "Want to see how this Mom with a full-time job, a part-time job, a tween-aged son & self proclaimed event organizer keeps it all check? Stay tuned for all the fun right here!" I keep it like that to see how quickly my life changes
You've heard the grumbling about the colour backgrounds on facebook. Here are 3 easy tricks to get rid of those backgrounds.
Keep typing. If you make your status long enough it will stay as the small text
Include a link to an post that is the same topic as your status and it will pull a picture from it.
Upload a picture and then add your status.
If
you just want to put a short status, then instead of picking a colour from the list, under the colours click STICKERS and pick a sticker
that works with your status. See the example below

When I saw Magic Mike for the first time, it became a running
joke between friends (because we talked and talked about it with everyone).
When we heard there was a sequel to the film we knew we had
to be there to see that one on the big screen too.
Now there’s a male revue themed from the films and it’s
coming to Kitchener Ontario’s Centre In The Square! MAGIC MEN® LIVE!
is coming to town on June 1, 2017 and you know that means we have to be there
to see it live on stage!
Please note this is
an adult themed show.
This re-imagined approach to ladies night entertainment
provides audiences with an intensely exciting and innovative cabaret-style
show, filled with comedic skits and theatrics, sexy dance moves, audience
participation, and of course, more than a little skin!
With MOTHER’S DAY right around the corner, here’s some
shopping tips from the Magic Men.

While solar panels and wind farms are becoming more popular, they still are not the norm in neighbourhoods and community areas. Instead we are more familiar with power lines and hydro towers.
We all try to do our part to save energy whether is making sure to turn the lights off when we leave the room or using timers on devices. Making small changes help save energy and save on the amount we spend on utilities.
Here are a few other ideas that may help reduce your monthly energy usage and water consumption.
My trick is to cook several “long cook” items at once in the oven and use them over the next few days. Learn more about this simple trick.

Your oven can be an energy sucker and using it often
increases your utility bills.This
simple trick will save you time and energy, both your energy and the energy
costs required when using it.
Most people will use their oven several times a week and
usually for about an hour at a time. My trick is to cook several “long cook” items at once in the
oven and use them over the next few days.
For example, right now I have a spaghetti squash for lunch,
a roast beef for dinner and pork for another day all cooking in the oven at
once (excuse my oven’s look, think of it as well used).
Separately
these items each take about an hour or more to cook. That is 3+ hours of your oven being on throughout the week.Because I am cooking them all at once the
time for the oven being on is reduced to 1.5 hours for all 3 items.
This will ensure I will save money on my utility bill and
save time when it comes to preparing other meals as well. Because the items are
already cooked, re-heating them on the stove top (or microwave if you use one)
is minimal and you can easily transform
the cooked items into other dishes that you would normally reserve for
leftovers!While saving 1.5 hours of
your oven being on might not seem like much, but this is for one week. Now think of it on a yearly basis and you can
see how it can save on your energy costs!
Let me know if you try this trick and how it worked out for
you!
